Governor Schwarzenegger:

Perhaps like most people, I make an effort to vote and stay up to speed on important issues, but rarely am I compelled strongly enough to write a letter. This is one of those occasions.

A couple of weeks ago I attended the hearing in Bakersfield called by Senator Florez, regarding PG&E. At that hearing, the representatives of PG&E and the CPUC turned in one of the most pathetic performances I have ever seen by any organization—large or small, public or private. I’m a parent, and so have been to many a school recital, where the foibles and miscues are numerous, yet endearing. I’m also a person who has spent most of their career in large organizations, so I know what utter unpreparedness for a meeting looks like, and what meaningless corporate pap sounds like. All these experiences did not prepare me for what I witnessed at the hearing. It was that bad.

Can congress pass ANY meaningful heathcare reform, of any kind, or is it total gridlock?
